Procrastination is frustrating, depressing, and unproductive!
Jan 29, 2017
We all have been there, frustrated because another day goes by and you still haven't done what you have set out to do. You beat yourself up and those around you because you keep talking about your goals, but you never take action and apply the must to the task. What I was taught and still implement to this day is the following:
Take out a piece of paper and put the outcome at the top of the page. List out the positives on the right side of the paper and the rewards that follow you completing the task. Then on the left side write out the negatives if you don't complete the task. It should be very easy to see why you would want to rip the left side of the sheet off and only follow the right side. Then I make a quick todo list and put times and dates beside them and go! Walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes and really focus on what you are going to do and how good it will feel to just get it done with.
Change your state, and change your story. Procrastination is often caused by fear, and that fear is because you are not sure of the outcome and what goes along with it.
